Mahoney, Mahon, Blume, Leblic Named to CSC Academic All-District Team

Four Wildcats feted for combined excellence in athletics, academics and leadership
GREENWOOD, Ind. – Senior captain Audrey Mahoney (Downers Grove, Ill.), junior captain Grace Mahon (Orange, Conn.), junior Grace Blume (Dedham, Mass.) and junior Sydney Leblic (Madrid, Spain) of the UNH swimming & diving team were each named to the 2026 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All‑District Team®.
The Academic All‑District distinction recognizes the nation's top student‑athletes for their combined excellence in athletic performance, academic achievement (minimum 3.50 grade point average), and leadership. Mahoney, Mahon and Blume advanced to the CSC Academic All‑America ® ballot for national consideration.
Mahoney, a health management and policy major with a 3.95 cumulative GPA, was named to the CSC Academic All‑District Team for the second time in her career, earning the honor previously during the 2023–24 season. She capped her collegiate career as one of the most accomplished swimmers in America East history. She earned the David Alexander Coaches Award after finishing her career with the most America East Championship points among eligible seniors. At the conference championships, she was part of a gold‑medal, record‑setting 400 freestyle relay, helping establish both a UNH and championship record of 3:21.08 with a 49.53 lead‑off split, while adding silver‑medal finishes in the 200 free, 100 free, 50 free, 200 free relay (school record), and 400 medley relay. She broke three Jenny Thompson‑held pool records during the regular season and earned All‑America East honors six times in 2026.
Academically, Mahoney was named the 2024–25 America East Scholar‑Athlete of the Year, is a three‑time America East All‑Academic Team selection, a three‑time Spring Commissioner's Honor Roll recipient, a Chi Alpha Sigma National Collegiate Honor Society inductee, and has earned Dean's List High Honors in all seven semesters of her undergraduate career.
Beyond the pool and classroom, Mahoney has made a meaningful impact through community service and leadership, volunteering with Renegade Paws Rescue, participating in environmental stewardship through the Hampton Beach Cleanup, and supporting hunger‑relief efforts with Feed My Starving Children. She has also volunteered at local endurance events and contributed professionally as a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association Northern New England Chapter Communications Committee, assisting with content creation and digital outreach.
Mahon, a psychology major with a cumulative 3.90 GPA, was a member of the gold‑medal, record‑setting 400 freestyle relay at the America East Championships. Individually, she earned silver in the 100 fly, bronze in the 200 fly, silver as a member of the school-record 200 fly relay and silver in the 400 medley relay. During the regular season, she recorded multiple individual victories, including gold in the 100 fly versus UConn (Jan. 23), sweeps of the 100 and 200 fly versus URI (Jan. 12) and wins in both fly events at Northeastern (Dec. 6). She set a meet and pool record in the 100 fly at URI's Harold Anderson Invitational (Nov. 23) and was also a member of a record‑setting 200 and 400 medley relay during the season.
Academically, Mahon is a two‑time America East All‑Academic Team selection, a two‑time America East Commissioner's Honor Roll recipient, and she has earned Dean's List High Honors. Additionally, Mahon has made a meaningful impact through leadership and service as a two‑year member of UNH's Student‑Athlete Advisory Committee. She helped organize Bench Out the Stigma, a bench‑press fundraiser supporting mental health awareness, volunteered with Strong Girls United during Girls & Women in Sports Day, facilitated school field trips to the UNH Field House and assisted with operations for the Harborside Half Marathon.
Blume, a human development and family studies: family and lifespan development major with a 3.72 GPA, was the America East champion in the 1‑meter dive for All‑America East honors. She holds UNH program records in both the 1‑meter and 3‑meter dives, breaking both marks during a dual meet at Maine on Jan. 23. During the 2025–26 season, Blume recorded multiple event sweeps, capturing both the 1‑meter and 3‑meter dives versus UConn (Jan. 17), at Northeastern (Dec. 6), against CCSU (Oct. 24‑25) and at Vermont (Oct. 18). She was named America East Diver of the Week three times. Beyond competition, Blume has made a meaningful impact through community service, volunteering at the Harborside Half Marathon and 5K, participating in the Strong Girls United event for National Girls and Women in Sports Day, and volunteering at Julia Ruth House, a senior center in Massachusetts.
Leblic, a nutrition: dietetics major with a cumulative 3.61 GPA that includes a perfect 4.0 in her first season as a Wildcat, was a key contributor to UNH's success at the America East Championships. The junior claimed All‑America East honors as a member of the gold‑medal 800 free relay, silver‑medal 400 IM, gold‑medal and record-setting 400 free relay and silver‑medal record-setting 200 freestyle relay. In the regular season, Leblic was a member of the 400 free relay win versus UConn (Jan. 17), placed second in the 200 free against Rhode Island (Jan. 12) and earned silver in the 400 free at URI's Harold Anderson Invitational (Nov. 23). The America East All-Academic Team member also made an impact through community service.
