'Cats Fall in Hard Fought Matchup Against UAlbany, 65-52

TROY, N.Y. – The University of New Hampshire women's basketball team fell to UAlbany on Wednesday evening, 65-52 at McDonough Sports Complex.
Freshman guard Avery O'Connor (Dedham, Mass.), junior guard Adara Groman (Hopkinton, Mass.), senior forward Brooke Kane (Derry, N.H.), and freshman guard Breezie Williams (Canton, Ohio) all had ten or more points in the contest.
The Wildcats' record falls to 5-14 (0-7 AE) and UAlbany's improves to 14-8 (8-0 AE).

· O'Connor and Groman followed that up with two more threes to keep the UNH momentum going throughout the quarter.
SECOND QUARTER:
· Williams sank two step back jumpers early to continue the offensive pressure in the second quarter.
· The Wildcats out rebounded the Great Danes 13-7 in the second quarter, resulting in six second chance points under the basket.
THIRD QUARTER:
· The Wildcats drained all their free throws in the third quarter, resulting in a 100% free throw percentage throughout the game.
FOURTH QUARTER:
· UAlbany came out strong with back-to-back threes to give the Great Danes a five-point lead.
· Groman responded with a step back three to keep UNH within two.
· UAlbany opened their lead with an 8-0 run late in the quarter.
