Wildcats Win Three Events as UNH Competes Versus UMass Lowell

Nate Hobbs won two events for the Wildcats.

DURHAM, N.H. – Senior Nate Hobbs (Peabody, Mass.) won two events and junior Kenney McElroy (West Linn, Ore.) took one as the University of New Hampshire men's track and field team competed against UMass Lowell on Saturday afternoon at Paul Sweet Oval.

Hobbs won the high jump as he cleared the bar at 6'4.75", while he took first place in the long jump at 21'4.75".
Â
McElroy captured first place in the 800 meters with a time of 1:56.11, while junior Dillon Adamy (Clinton, N.J.) was second at 1:56.56.

Senior Emmanuel Nkounkou (Dover, N.H.) placed second in the long jump at 20'8.50".
Â
Senior Brian Genet (Merrimack, N.H.) was third in the high jump with a personal best of 6'0.75".
Â
Senior Jack Kennefick (Walpole, Mass.) placed second in the 400 meters with a personal best time of 53.19, while sophomore Adrian Sutton (Rochester, N.H.) was third at 53.20.

Senior John King Jr. (Derry, N.H.) led UNH in the shotput with a career-best throw of 48'2".

Junior Andrew Fleming (Acton, Mass.) was fourth in the weight throw with a personal best of 48'11".

Freshman Kevin Finn (Kennebunk, Maine) posted a third-place finish in the 1,000 meters with a time of 2:35.13.

The Wildcats will return to action on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 25-26, at the America East Championships at Boston University.
