Wildcats forego Sunday's home game with Connecticut College

DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire men's basketball team has decided to forego its home game against Connecticut College on Sunday, January 2^nd at Lundholm Gymnasium in preparation for the Wildcats' America East opener on Thursday, January 6 at Vermont (7pm) on ESPNU.

"We want to start by thanking Connecticut College for their flexibility in scheduling Sunday's game on short notice and their understanding in our subsequent decision to cancel the game," UNH head coach Bill Herrion said. "Safety is our number one priority, and based on what is happening around the country, we feel it is in the best interest of our program to forego tomorrow's game. We now turn our focus on preparing for Thursday's night conference opener at Vermont in front of a national television audience on ESPNU."
