Six-foot-nine forward played at George Washington in 2020-21
DURHAM, N.H. — University of New Hampshire men's basketball coach Bill Herrion announced Friday the addition of 6-foot-9 forward Sloan Seymour (Albany, N.Y.) as a transfer student who will join the Wildcat program with sophomore eligibility for the 2021-22 season.
"We are really excited to add Sloan to our UNH basketball family," Herrion said. "He will give us a player with good length and elite 3-point shooting ability who will help us space out the floor."
Seymour played at George Washington University in 2020-21. In 12 games, the native of Albany, N.Y., averaged 4.3 points and hit 14 of 38 (.368) 3-point field goals.
Seymour started his career at Siena College in 2018-19 and earned a spot on the 2019 MAAC All-Rookie Team for averaging 9.1 points and setting a school freshman record for made 3-pointers (94), which is ranked No. 3 in program single-season history. Seymour started 32 games and scored in double figures 12 times.
"Sloan will be a really good addition to the talented group of players we have returning as we continue in our pursuit of winning an America East championship and getting to the NCAA Tournament," Herrion added.
