Bearcats defeat Wildcats, 51-42
Ramil's big effort came after her sister Annie, who scored the game's first basket, departed in the first quarter with an apparent leg injury.
UNH's season ended with a record of 10-19. Binghamton (22-8) advances to the America East semifinals at No. 1 seed Stony Brook on Sunday, March 8.

1st Quarter
•After surrendering a game-opening layup, the Wildcats went on a 6-0 run courtesy of layups from Storey, Maggie Ahearn (Marshfield, Mass.) and Caroline Soucy (Beverly, Mass.). The Bearcats responded with a Carly Boland driving layup and a three-pointer from Oliva Ramil to take a 7-6 lead into the first media timeout (3:50).
•Brooke Kane (Derry, N.H.) snapped a 9-0 run with a 16-foot jump shot from the left baseline to draw the Wildcats within 9-8. Then Storey took a pass from Amanda Torres (Hudson, N.H.) for a layup-and-one to put UNH back in front, 11-9. Denai Bowman's free-throw line jumper knotted the score, 11-11, before Torres hit a runner along the right side of the lane in the closing seconds of the quarter to give the Wildcats a 13-11 advantage after 1.
•Following ties at 11, 13 and 15, the teams swapped the lead on five straight baskets. Torres hit a scoop and drew a foul for a 17-15 advantage before Boland's 3-pointer lifted BU to an 18-17 edge. Soucy hit a step back jumper off a behind-the back dribble for a 19-18 lead, and then scored again on a short jumper to answer Olivia Ramil's lay-in to stake UNH to the 21-20 lead with 2:10 left in the half.
•Neither team scored following the media timeout, allowing the Wildcats to bring the one-point lead to the locker room.
•The Bearcats outshot the Wildcats, 29.6 percent (8-27) to 29.4 percent (10-34).
•Binghamton went 2-for-10 from 3-point distance, while UNH went 0-for-4.
•UNH's defense held America East Player of the Year Kai Moon scoreless on 0-for-6 shooting, including 0-for-4 from 3-point distance.
•Storey paced the Wildcats with seven points on 3-for-9 shooting.
•Soucy had six points and four rebounds, while Ahearn scored a basket and pulled down five boards.
•The Wildcats outrebounded the Bearcats, 25-19.
•The half featured four ties and seven lead changes. New Hampshire's largest lead was four points (6-2), and Binghamton's biggest lead was three points (9-6).
•Binghamton raced out to a 7-0 run to open its largest lead, 27-21, before Storey snapped the streak with a turnaround layup from the left side.
•After the Bearcats reclaimed a six-point edge (29-23), Soucy connected for a runner down the right side of the lane and Torres went 1-for-2 at the free throw line to trim the deficit to 29-26 at the 5:00 media timeout.
•Moon ended her scoreless drought with a pair of foul shots that built Binghamton's lead to 31-26 before Storey answered with a finger roll from underneath the basket.
•Following a Ramil layup, Torres connected for the Wildcats' first 3-pointer from the right wing to draw the 'Cats within 33-31 with 2:20 left in the quarter.
•Moon then hit her first field goal with just over one minute left, followed by Ramil's conventional 3-point play to build the home team's advantage to 38-33.
•Storey fed a driving Ahearn for a lefthand layup for the final basket of the quarter (38-35).
•Storey scored a pair of quick buckets on a short jumper and a free throw line jump shot to bring the Wildcats within 40-39 before the Bearcats broke out to a 7-0 run to build its biggest lead (eight points), 47-39, with 4:50 left.
•The Bearcats outscored the Wildcats, 13-7, in the fourth quarter to defeat UNH for the third time this season.

- Ashley Storey finishes her career with 1,045 career points, the 18th highest point total by a Wildcat in history.
- UNH held Binghamton to 51 points, tied for the fourth-lowest final score by a UNH opponent this season. New Hampshire was 6-4 this season when holding opponents in the 50s.
- The Wildcats also held America East Player of the Year Kai Moon (20.4 points per game) to just six in the contest.
- UNH grabbed 41 rebounds in the contest to Binghamton's 36. UNH was 6-13 this season when outrebounding its opponent.
