Wildcats Continue Championship Season at ECAC/IC4A’s, New England’s

UNH athletes look to build off America East successes.
DURHAM, N.H. – After a weekend that saw multiple new career bests set, the University of New Hampshire women's track & field team continues onward in championship season, as the Wildcats send athletes to both the New England Championships and the ECAC/IC4A Championships this coming weekend.
NEW ENGLAND (NEICAAA) CHAMPIONSHIPS
The Wildcats will send several athletes down to New Haven, Connecticut for the 2019 NEICAAA Outdoor Championship meet hosted at Southern Connecticut State University. New Hampshire sends a majority of relay teams and field athletes looking to continue improving on marks they set last weekend at America East.
America East javelin runner-up Natalie Howes (Londonderry, N.H.), along with her fellow javelin scorers Lauren Quann (Pictou, Nova Scotia), and Alexandra Toback (Pomtpon Plains, N.J.) will compete for a New England individual championship in the javelin throw, while Alyssa Colbert (Smithfield, R.I.) competes in the discus and hammer throws. Howes and Toback both set new personal best marks in the javelin at America East, while Colbert comes into New England's as the second seed in the discus throw.
UNH will also send freshmen Saige Tudisco (Haverhill, Mass.) for another shot at the long jump, and Sarah Williams (Dover, N.H.) in the shot put. On the track, the Wildcats will run three relay teams, highlighted by seniors Emiliegh Glode (Boxborough, Mass.) and Jessica Hackett (Dover, N.H.).

A relay team of four Wildcats will head to the ECAC/IC4A championships this Saturday and Sunday, May 11 and 12. The relay team of Danielle Gajewski (Danville, N.H.), Shannon Murdock (Exeter, N.H.), Caroline Mahoney (Bedford, N.H.), and Riley Gilmore (Haverhill, Mass.) will take on the ECAC/IC4A relay field.
