Gajewski Wins Seventh America East Individual Title

Wildcats finish fifth in the team score.
ALBANY, N.Y. – University of New Hampshire women's track & field fifth-year senior Danielle Gajewski (Danville, N.H.) captured her seventh individual America East Championship on Sunday as the Wildcats wrapped up the 2019 America East Outdoor Championships at the University at Albany.
Gajewski took gold in the 800 meter outdoor run for just the second time in her career, finishing in 2 minutes, 7.81 seconds, under a second behind her personal best time in the event. This comes off a relay title for Gajewski during the indoor season in the distance medley relay, putting her America East gold medal count at the end of her career to seven total.
The Wildcats had a pair of third place finishes, in the 5000m and the discus throw; junior Meg Champagne (Plattsburgh, N.Y.) took third with a time of 17:21.62, and in the discus, fellow junior Alyssa Colbert (Smithfield, R.I.) took third with a distance of 138 feet, 6 inches.
Rounding out the top individual finishers for New Hampshire, senior Shannon Murdock (Exter, N.H.) took fourth in the 1500m. Murdock finished in 4:31.22, which put her on the scoring podium for the third time this track season.
Albany took first in the meet with an overall score of 254; the runner up was UMass Lowell at 136.5 points.

- Freshman Saige Tudisco (Haverhill, Mass.) finished in a tie for sixth place in the high jump, with a height of 5'3".
- Junior Emileigh Glode (Boxborough, Mass.) took seventh in the 400m hurdles in 1:03.93.
- Junior Bosibori Mosongo (Indianapolis, Ind.) took fifth in the heptathlon, with a new personal best score of 4328. Mosongo won the heptathlon long jump with a distance of 17'6.75", and finished second in the shot put with a new personal best distance of 34'9".
- All three relays teams on Sunday finished in a scoring position:
- In the 4x100 relay, freshman Alyssa Doust (Marshfield, Mass.), senior Jessica Hackett (Dover, N.H.), sophomore Maria Virga (Derry, N.H.), and freshman Crismeily Borg (Nashua, N.H.) took sixth with a finishing time of 48.28 seconds.
- The team of freshman Lauren Dean (Gilmanton Iron Works, N.H.), junior Michaella Conery (Concord, N.H.), freshman Nicole Yeomans (Foxborough, Mass.) and junior Brianne Moss (Shrewsbury, Mass.) competed in the 4x800, also taking sixth, with a time of 9:16.39.
- In the 4x400 relay, the team of Hackett, junior Elise Renahan (Atkinson, N.H.), Glode, and freshman Zakiya Scott (Brooklyn, N.Y.) took seventh in 3:55.35.
