Golf Tourney Slated for The Links at Outlook
DURHAM, N.H. – The 1994-95 University of New Hampshire men's basketball team will be honored as part of the 2018 Gerry Friel Memorial Golf Tournament, which is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 28 (9 a.m.), at The Links at Outlook in South Berwick, Maine.
"We are excited to celebrate the 1995 team and properly recognize what was, arguably, the best men's basketball team in the history of UNH," said 14th-year head coach Bill Herrion. "As the head coach of Drexel at the time, I vividly remember how difficult it was to coach against that team featuring so many New Hampshire-born kids, and how close those Wildcats came to winning the league championship."
The '94-95 Wildcats posted an overall record of 19-9 and went 11-5 in the North Atlantic Conference (now America East). UNH shattered previous school records for wins, as no Wildcat squad had posted more than 16 in the previous 91 years of the program.

Eric Montanari (Hudson, N.H.), who played in 82 consecutive games to close his career, was the third-leading scorer (11.9 points/game).
The 'Cats set an attendance record with 31,871 fans attending 12 home games (2,656 per game) at Lundholm Gym. The highlight was an audience of 3,000-plus that witnessed a 113-111 double-overtime victory over Northeastern on Jan. 26, 1995.
