DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire Department of Athletics and NESN (New England Sports Network) announced a partnership to broadcast seven UNH home men's hockey games on NESN and NESNplus throughout New England in 2018-19.
The first Wildcat men's hockey telecast will take place Saturday, Dec. 30 (5 p.m.) at the Whittemore Center against Bentley University on NESN, the television home of the Boston Bruins and Boston Red Sox. The broadcast schedule includes back-to-back White Out the Whitt matchups against Maine on Friday, Feb. 1 (7 p.m., NESNplus) and Saturday, Feb. 2 (7 p.m., NESN).
"NESN is where New England fans are accustomed to watching quality college and professional hockey in this region, so we are pleased to add our UNH men's hockey broadcasts to this large audience," said UNH Executive Director of Athletics Jon Danos. "Our fans, alumni and University as a whole are excited to see the Wildcats compete under new head coach Mike Souza, and our partnership with NESN will help grow our brand and showcase all the excitement of Wildcat hockey."
UNH Wildcat Productions, the athletic department's in-house broadcast entity, will produce each of the NESN telecasts. Each of the select broadcasts will be streamed in New England exclusively at NESNgo.com and via the NESNgo app.
