LOWELL, Mass. – Senior Brandon Allen (East Elmhurst, N.Y.) won the 100 and 200 meter dash to pace the University of New Hampshire men's track & field team at the George Davis Invitational at UMass Lowell on Saturday.
Allen took the 100 in 10.88 seconds and the 200 in 21.95 seconds. Both marks were just off his personal best times. His PRs are 10.87 in the 100 and 21.92 in the 200.
UNH outscored Bryant in the meet, 104-44. UMass Lowell beat the Wildcats, 86-71.
The Wildcats host the America East Outdoor Track & Field Championships in less than two weeks - on Saturday, May 6 and Sunday, May 7 - at the Reggie Atkins Track & Field Facility in Wildcat Stadium.

Senior Andrew McFarland (Nazareth, Pa.) and freshman Zachary Astle (Newbury, N.H.) joined Allen as event winners at UMass Lowell. McFarland won the 400 hurdles in 54.78 seconds and Astle took the shot put at 50 feet, 11 inches. Among the other top finishers for the Wildcats were:

- The Wildcat men will compete at Holy Cross on Tuesday at 3 p.m. in a meet that also includes Rhode Island and Worcester State.
- Some Wildcats will compete in the Penn Relays in Philadelphia from Thursday through Saturday.
- The rest of the team will be at a Pre-Conference meet at the University of Massachusetts on Saturday.
- UNH will host the America East Outdoor Track & Field Championships on May 6 and 7.

- Freshman Joseph Murphy (Providence, R.I.) was second in the 1500 in 4:06.
- Junior Alex Tamulonis (Mason, N.H.) was runnerup in the pole vault at 14 feet, 5.25 inches.
- Junior Joel Nkounkou (Dover, N.H.) was second in the long jump at 21 feet, 11 inches and was also third in the high jump.
- Freshman Mitchell Carter (Fall River, Mass.) was second in the triple jump at 41 feet, 5 inches.
- Freshman Kyle Faucher (Danville, N.H.) finished second in the javelin at 175 feet, 7 inches.
- In addition to his win in the shot put, Astle was third in the discus.
