WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Sophomore Shannon Murdock (Exeter, N.H.) of the University of New Hampshire women's track & field team finished second overall in the 3,000-meter race at the 52^nd Colonial Relays at Walter J. Zable Stadium.

Murdock finished in 9 minutes, 40.18 seconds in her first career attempt at a 3,000-meter race. The race qualified her for ECAC Championships set for May 13-14. There was 51 competitors in the race yesterday.

Additionally, junior Angelyn Masters (Bangor, Maine) competed in the 3K race and finished with a time of 10:19.81 to place her 21^st in the event. The time sets a personal record for the Maine native by 16.49 seconds. This was only her second time competing in the event after racing to a time of 10:36.30 at home on April 11, 2015.

The Wildcats currently sit seventh with eight points after day one with 15 teams scored so far.
