GAME RECAP
- UAlbany took a 1-0 lead at 5:40 when Beerkens dribbled in from the right wing for a 1-v-1 with Rudert, and she scored on a shot from the middle of the circle.
- The Great Danes extended the advantage to 2-0 at 16:15. Katie MacCallum carried the ball into the top of the circle, evaded a defender and fired a shot into the left side of the cage.
- New Hampshire trimmed the deficit to 2-1 at 25:17. van den Brakel's entry pass from just outside the top of the circle toward the left post was redirected by Morin, from five yards out, past the charging Nealon.
- UAlbany took that one-goal lead and 7-3 shot advantage into halftime; neither team generated a penalty corner in the opening 35 minutes.
- The Great Danes reestablished a two-goal advantage, 3-1, at 57:56 on a corner. Kelsey Bridell's short corner was settled by Dana Bozek on the top-left, and her shot bounced inside the far post.
- New Hampshire also capitalized on a corner to once again close within one goal, 2-1, at 60:52. van den Brekkel inserted the ball to the top of the circle, where the ball was pushed to the right. The initial blast off the stick of Jessica Schmidt (Warrington, Pa.) was stopped by Nealon, but van den Brekel corralled the rebound and jammed the ball inside the left post.
- The visitors took a 4-2 lead with 5:18 remaining in regulation. MacCullum's rising drive from the top-left side was knocked down by Rudert's left blocker, but Beerkens collected the ball and fired a shot into the open cage from pointblank range.
