UNH vs. Indiana: New Hampshire has an 0-4 lifetime record against Indiana University. The last time these teams met was Aug. 29, 2014, when the Hoosiers scored goals in the 55th and 69th minutes to rally for a 3-2 victory (at the University of Louisville). These teams faced off three consecutive years with Indiana prevailing 2-1 in 2004 (at Northwestern), 3-1 in '05 (at UNH) and 3-1 in '06 (at home).

Rudert Receives Recognition from America East: Sophomore goalkeeper Kelsey Rudert was named Defensive Player of the Week by America East on Sept. 6. Rudert recorded four saves in 77 minutes, 46 seconds of action to backbone UNH to a 2-1 overtime win against Harvard University this past Sunday. After surrendering a goal 77 seconds into the game, she held the Crimson scoreless the final 76 minutes, 29 seconds for her second career victory – both 2-1 in OT. In UNH's other game last week, Rudert stopped 5 of 8 shots on goal in the 3-2 loss to Drexel University (Sept. 2). For the week, she had a 1-1 record with a 1.89 GAA and .692 save percentage.

State of New Hampshire: UNH, led by 26th-year head coach Robin Balducci, has 2-3 overall record following Friday's 4-0 loss at Miami (Ohio) University. UNH opened the season with four consecutive home games and all four of those games were decided by one goal, including two in overtime (both 2-1 victories).

On the Road: The Wildcats play their first road games of the season this weekend; one year ago, the 'Cats went 4-8 away from home with a breakdown of 3-7 on the road and 1-1 at neutral sites.

Second-Half Strong: Entering the weekend, New Hampshire had a sizable second-half advantage in both shots (37-22) and corners (21-10). The goal differential, however, was minimal at +1 (4-3). In the second half of Friday's game at Miami, the RedHawks outscored the Wildcats, 3-0, despite UNH's edge in both sthos (9-7) and corners (7-2).
Dynamic Duo: UNH's dynamic duo of senior forward Lindsey Nerbonne and junior midfielder Ashley Mendonca has scored all nine of UNH's goals this season. Nerbonne scored a goal each of the first four games and has a team-high five tallies – she has 30 as a UNH Wildcat – whereas Mendonca had a three-game goal streak snapped Friday at Miami.

There to Assist: Junior midfielder Gianna Bensaia extended her assist streak to three games and matched her personal best of two assists by setting up both UNH goals in the 2-1 victory vs. Harvard. She tallied five assists during her three-game assist streak and tallied a helper on five of the team's seven goals in that span.

Last Time Out: Miami scored an early goal (at 5:07) and took that 1-0 lead into halftime. Paula Portugal, who scored that goal, struck again at 40:32 and 45:53 to quickly extend the advantage to three goals. Geagy Pritchard closed the scoring at 60:57. UNH generated the advantage in shots (13-12), shots on goal (8-6) and corners (10--5). UNH goalie Kelsey Rudert made two saves, both in the second half. Miami's Alysa Xavier was credited with seven saves.

OT is OK: New Hampshire is 2-0 in overtime this year with 2-1 home wins against both UMass and Harvard. UNH has won each of the last six games that have been decided by overtime. The Wildcats won both OT games a year ago by a score of 4-3 – at UMass Lowell (Oct. 30) and earlier in 2015 vs. UMass (at Boston U.). Back in 2014, UNH prevailed in OT at Maine (3-2; Oct. 31) and at Harvard (1-0; Oct. 19). The last time the 'Cats lost a game decided beyond the 70 minutes of regulation was Sept. 26, 2014 vs. Miami (3-2).

Scouting the Hoosiers: Indiana University (Bloomington, Ind.), led by second-year head coach Amanda Janney, has a 3-2 record that includes 0-1 at home and 0-2 vs. nationally-ranked teams. The Hoosiers recorded their second consecutive shutout with Friday's 5-0 win at Missouri State. Last weekend at the Buckeye Invitational (at Ohio State), IU lost 2-1 to No. 7 Wake Forest and defeated America East's UC Davis, 2-0. Prior to Friday's five-goal outburst, senior back/midfielder Kate Barber had scored five of the team's seven goals and junior forward/midfielder Maddie Latino was the only player with multiple assists (two). Barber recorded two goals and an assist at Missouri State to increase he rseason totals to 7g, 1a. Latino tallied two more assists Friday to double her season total. Sophomore goalkeeper Noelle Rother has started all five games and has a 3-2 record with a 2.00 GAA and .654 save percentage and one shutout. IU has outscored the opposition 12-9 with a 47-29 shot advantage and 35-21 edge in penalty corners.
