RECAP
- UNH converted one of its 10 first-half penalty corners into a goal to take a 1-0 lead at 19:15. Aggie Sutherland (Dauphin, Pa.) initiated the sequence with the insert to the top of the circle, where Gianna Bensaia (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) stopped the ball for Nerbonne's blast into the cage.
- IU also scored via a direct shot by Kate Barber on a penalty corner to tie the score, 1-1, at 23:33.
- The teams were deadlocked at 1-1 at the start of the second half, but Taylor Pearson scored 1:53 later to give the Hoosiers a lead they would not relinquish.
- Pearson struck again at 45:21 to extend the advantage to 3-1, then Barber scored her second of the game at 53:02.
- Mollie Getzfread made it five consecutive goals for the home team at 58:12.
- The Wildcats scored goals two minutes apart to pull within 5-3. The battery of Kayla Sliz (Ajax, Ontario) and Rachel Bossi (Chelmsford, Mass.) set up Mendonca's fifth goal of the season at 59:29. Morin closed the scoring at 61:31.
- IU starting goalkeeper Noelle Rother stopped 6 of 7 shots on goal in 58:38 to earn the victory. Katie Johnson went the rest of the way and was credited with three saves.
- UNH starting goalie Kelsey Rudert (North Grafton, Mass.) made four saves and surrendered four goals in 58:18. Madelyn McAteer (Annapollis, Md.), in her collegiate debut, stopped one shot and yielded one goal in 11:48 of action.
