BOSTON – Nineteen student-athletes on the 2025 University of New Hampshire field hockey team were named to the America East Academic Honor Roll for the Fall 2025 semester with a breakdown of 15 on the Commissioner's Honor Roll and four on the Honor Roll.
That calculates to 83 percent of the roster being honored and 65 percent on the Commissioner's Honor Roll – impressive numbers for the team that won the 2025 conference tournament and advanced to the NCAA tourney.
Commissioner's Honor Roll recognition is awarded to student-athletes with a fall semester GPA of 3.50 or higher, while Honor Roll accolades are bestowed to student-athletes who recorded a fall semester GPA between 3.0-3.49.
Madilynn Clark (Evanston, Ill.), Makayla Clark (Evanston, Ill.), Emily Layton (Harwich, Mass.), Kay Murphy (Wrentham, Mass.) and Nicole Poulakis (Ajax, Ontario) led the 15 Wildcats on the Commissioner's Honor Roll with a perfect 4.0 GPA in the Fall 2025 semester.
That quintet is joined on the Commissioner's Honor Roll by Abigail Armlin (York, Maine), Brecken Calcari (St. Louis, Mo.), Tasmin Cookman (London, England), Emily Coughlin (Marshfield, Mass.), Katie Garrison (Gilroy, Calif.), Kathelijne Knuttel (Groningen, Netherlands), Addison MacNeil (Brentwood, N.H.), Megan Marthins (Haddonfield, N.J.), Chloe Miller (Collegeville, Pa.) and Louette Petiet (Hoofddorp, Netherlands),
The four 'Cats on the Honor Roll are Abby Johnson (Walpole, Mass.), Marlijn Swaan (Hilversum, Netherlands), Morgan Valeri (Newburyport, Mass.) and Becky Ward (Palmerston North, New Zealand).
Calcari, Madilynn Clark and Poulakis made the Commissioner's Honor Roll all four years and all three recorded a perfect 4.0 GPA in 2 of 4 fall semesters – Calcari in 2022 and 2024, Clark in 2022 and 2025 and Poulakis in 2023 and 2025.
Knuttel was named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll each of the past three years, while Makayla Clark, Garrison, Marthins and Murphy received this recognition for the second consecutive year.
Coughlin, Layton, Swaan and Ward all made the grade as rookies.
In the Fall 2025 semester, 927 student-athletes who competed in America East sponsored sports earned Honor Roll recognition for achieving at least a 3.0 GPA– that calculates to 88 percent of all eligible student-athletes.
In total, 65 percent of student-athletes and 680 in total earned Commissioner's Honor Roll status for registering a GPA of 3.5 or better.
America East is proud to have one of most comprehensive academic awards programs in the country, which honors over two-thirds of its student-athletes for their success in the classroom, including its sports Scholar-Athletes and All-Academic Team honorees, Presidential Scholar-Athletes, and Elite 18 recipients.
