The Wildcats opened conference play Friday with a 4-0 home loss to Albany in which the Great Danes generated the edge in shots (16-5) and penalty corners (6-3). Prior to Friday, the 'Cats had been on the road since defeating Harvard University, 2-1 in overtime, on Sept. 4. The 'Cats went winless during the three-week, four-game road swing that consisted of trips to Miami University and Indiana University, James Madison University, and Northeastern University. Rudert Records Career High

Consistent 'Cats: Junior back Ashley Mendonca (Brampton, Ontario) has been the most consistent goal scorer – and point producer – for the Wildcats this season. Her three-game goal-scoring streak ended in Friday's shutout loss to Albany; she also had a three-game goal streak spanning Aug. 28 to Sept. 4. Mendonca leads the team in goals (seven) and points (14). Senior forward Lindsey Nerbonne (Bow, N.H.) ranks second on the team in both goals (six) and points (12), and she has a team-high 38 shots. Junior midfielder Gianna Bensaia (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) has a team-leading six assists, including a pair of two-assist efforts.
Â
The Other Goal Scorers: The duo of Mendonca and Nerbonne has accounted for 13 of UNH's 15 goals. Tiana Morin (Barre, Mass.) and Rachel Bossi (Chelmsford, Mass.) have scored the Wildcats' other two goals. Morin recorded her first career points with the tally at Indiana (Sept. 11) and Bossi scored at JMU for her first collegiate goal.
