The Wildcats come into the game with an overall record of 3-4-1 and a Hockey East conference record of 1-0-1.
The No. 13/14 Warriors come into the weekend with a record of 5-1-2 and conference mark of 1-1-2 prior to Friday's game at the University of Massachusetts.
New Hampshire is coming off an 0-2-0 weekend at Michigan State with a 5-0 loss on Friday and a 7-4 defeat on Saturday.
Junior Tyler Kelleher and sophomore Andrew Poturalski each tallied a goal and an assist while freshman Ara Nazarian notched the first two assists of his career on Saturday. Senior Dan Correale and freshman Chris Miller also scored for UNH.
Sophomore goaltender Danny Tirone made 37 saves on Friday night and 36 on Saturday. He tied his career high for saves in a period on Saturday with 20 in the second.
The last time UNH and Merrimack faced off (Oct. 31), the Wildcats handed the Warriors their first loss of the season when MC was ranked No. 17.
Nazarian scored his first career goal just 2:18 into the first period, followed by a goal by sophomore Richard Boyd only 18 seconds later.
Poturalski scored twice for UNH, both on power plays. His to goals were the first power play goals surrendered by Merrimack on the year.
Sophomore goaltender Adam Clark made 28 saves in the game on 30 shots faced to earn his second win of the season. He made 14 saves in the first period, four in the second and 10 in the third.
UNH head coach Dick Umile comes into the game with a career record of 563-317-98 (.626) and a Hockey East mark of 345-176-83 (.640). He has a career coaching record of 58-17-8 against Merrimack.
UNH is 4-1-0 in the last five games against the Warriors and holds a 70-20-9 record against Merrimack through the years.
At Lawler Rink, the Wildcats are 23-9-6 against Merrimack.
Saturday's game will conclude a six-game road stretch in which the Wildcats are 2-2-1 over that span.
New Hampshire will host Massachusetts on Friday, Nov. 20 at 7 p.m. and Boston College on Saturday, Nov. 21, also at 7 p.m.
Saturday's game is 'Salute to Service Night' as well as 'Alumni Night'. In addition to honoring active and retired members of the United States Armed Forces, the program will be celebrating its 20th year in the Whittemore Center with a ceremonial puck drop featuring members of the first team that played in the Whitt.

The 'CPK' Line: The line combination of Correale, Poturalski and Kelleher has a combined total of 37 points on the year with 16 goals and 21 assists.

Multi-Point Production: Tyler Kelleher and Andrew Poturalski have had no fewer than two points in each game that they record points in.

Keeping up with Correale: Senior forward Dan Correale has already tallied more goals this season than any of his previous seasons. Thus far, he has six while having four as a junior and sophomore and three as a rookie.

Picking Apples: Junior forward Tyler Kelleher is tied for third in the nation in total points (15) and is third in points per game (1.88). He has recorded the most assists of anyone in Division I college hockey thus far with 11 and is first in the nation in assists per game (1.38).

Picking up First Points: Freshmen Ara Nazarian and Marcus Vela recorded their first career points at No. 17 Merrimack on Saturday, Oct. 31. Nazarian scored the first goal of the game while Vela assisted on the second goal.

It's Miller Time: Freshman forward Chris Miller recorded the first points of his career in the same weekend. At UMass (Oct. 23), he scored his first goal while at No. 18 Union (Oct. 24), he tallied an assist.

Throw the Hats! Senior alternate captain Dan Correale scored a career high three goals at UMass (Oct. 23) for his first career hat trick. It was the first hat trick for a UNH player since Grayson Downing scored three against Maine on Dec. 13, 2014.

Lending a Hand: Junior Tyler Kelleher registered a career high four assists at UMass (Oct. 23). It was the first time a Wildcat had four assists since Trevor van Riemsdyk had four against Merrimack on Jan. 26, 2013 vs. Merrimack College.

Point Production: The Wildcats are tied for ninth in the country in goals per game with 3.88.

King of the Hill: Junior forward Jamie Hill is tied for fifth in the nation in shorthanded goals. He scored his first career shorthanded goal on Friday (Oct. 16) against SLU.

Oh What a Night: The Wildcats opened up the regular season with a 7-3 win over American International College (Oct. 10) on Saturday. Twelve skaters recorded at least one point while Tyler Kelleher and Andrew Poturalski had four points apiece.
Assembly Line Production: The line combination of Dan Correale, Andrew Poturalski and Tyler Kelleher accounted for 10 of UNH's 20 points in the win over AIC (Oct. 10). Kelleher had two goals and two assists, Poturalski had one goal and three assists while Correale tallied a goal and an assist.

Number 100: Senior forward Maxim Gaudreault played his 100th career game against UMass on Oct. 23. The only other active Wildcat with more than 100 games played on the roster is Dan Correale (117).

First, First, First: Freshman defenseman Matt Dawson recorded his first career goal and first career assist in his first career game. The last freshman to collect two points in his first game (first game of the season) was James van Riemsdyk in a 4-1 win over Boston University in 2007.

Looking Ahead: The NCAA announced on Oct. 2 that UNH in conjunction with the Verizon Wireless Arena (Manchester, N.H.) will host the 2017 NCAA Men's Hockey Division I Northeast Regional. It will be the seventh regional hosted by the two and UNH has played in five of six of the previous tournaments.

Opening at Home: Saturday's season opener against AIC (Oct. 10) was the first season opener at home since the Wildcats hosted St. Cloud State in 2012-13. UNH opened up the season with four games at home and won each of them.

C is for Captain, and Collin: Senior forward Collin MacDonald was elected to serve as captain for the 2015-16 season by his teammates. Serving as alternate captains are seniors Dan Correale and Maxim Gaudreault.

There's No Place Like Home: First year associate head coach Mike Souza ('00) returned to his alma mater after two years at the University of Connecticut and two years at Brown University.

Wildcats Through and Through: Head coach Dick Umile ('72) and associate head coaches Glenn Stewart ('94) and Mike Souza ('00) are all graduates and former players of UNH. Assistant AD for Hockey Operations Colin Shank ('05) is also a graduate of UNH.

Three Coaches, 402 Points: Umile, Stewart and Souza are each members of the Century Club for the men's hockey program. Souza tallied 156 points (66g, 90a), Umile 144 points (60g, 84a) and Stewart notched 102 points (51g, 51a).

The One and Only Q: Senior defenseman Harry Quast is the only player in program history to have a last name that begins with the letter 'Q'.

Hailing from the Granite State: Junior forward Collin Bourque and freshman forward Chris Miller each hail from New Hampshire. Bourque's hometown is Goffstown while Miller is from Windham.

Road Warriors: The men's hockey team will travel a total of 4,705.40 miles this season for road games. The biggest journey is 828 miles one way to Michigan State. The shortest trip is 34.4 miles to the Verizon Wireless Arena.

Hoist the Cup! Former men's hockey player Trevor van Riemsdyk ('14) became the sixth Wildcat in program history to win the Stanley Cup, the NHL's top honor. Here is the list of UNH Stanley Cup winners:

Do you know the way to San Jose? Freshman forward Marcus Vela was selected by the San Jose Sharks in the 2015 NHL Draft as the 190th overall pick. He is just the second player in UNH history to be drafted by the Sharks. Michael Hutchins was taken by San Jose in the 2002 draft.
