Nick Ring scores for the Wildcats
AMHERST, Mass. – Sophomore forward Nick Ring (Hingham, Mass.) scored for the Wildcats, but the University of New Hampshire men's hockey team fell to No. 16 UMass, 3-1, on Saturday evening at the Mullins Center in Hockey East action.
Junior goalie Jared Whale (Calgary, Alberta) made 16 saves for the Wildcats.
The Wildcats fall to 11-14-5 (3-13-4 Hockey East), while the Minutemen improve to 17-12-3 (8-9-3 Hockey East).

- The Wildcats took a 1-0 lead at 6:28 of the second period when sophomore forward Ryan Conmy (Alexandria, Va.) sent a pass the length of the ice to Ring who lifted the puck over the glove of Michael Hrabal for his eighth goal of the season.
