Farren Secures Women’s Cross Country Performer of the Week

DURHAM, N.H. – Sophomore Kayla Farren (Nashua, N.H.) of the University of New Hampshire women's cross country team was named America East Performer of the Week, announced by the conference.
Tuesday's announcement follows an 11th place finish in 10 minutes, 29.5 seconds in the 3K race at the Central Connecticut State University Mini Meet, the last race before the final three championship meets.
With six meets completed for the New Hampshire native, Farren's best finish this season was at a dual meet with the University of Maine (Sept. 18). The sophomore finished fourth overall with a 5K time of 19:41.8.
New Hampshire is primed to travel to Stony Brook University for the America East Championship on Saturday, Oct. 31 (11 a.m.) after winning the championship the past two seasons.
