Sedona Blair, freshman goaltender on the UNH women's ice hockey team, was named Student-Athlete of the Week on Dec. 4. She recorded her second and third consecutive shutout in the Dec. 1 game versus Holy Cross and the game on Dec. 2 against Vermont.
Sedona had 19 saves in the 1-0 win over the Crusaders and 25 saves to beat the Catamounts 1-0. She currently has a save percentage of .921.
Sedona is tied for first in Hockey East for shutouts with four. She was named Hockey East Player of the Week on Monday.
The 'Cats welcome Hockey East opponent Providence on Friday, Dec. 8 at 6 p.m.; there will be a Teddy Bear Toss as part of the Wildcat Toy Drive. Then on Sunday Dec. 10 at 2 p.m. UNH will host Brown and there will be a post-game skate. Both games can be watched on ESPN+.
