Nicole Benson

Benson returns for her second stint at New Hampshire after having been an assistant coach from 2004-11. While with the Wildcats, she worked with the women’s sprint group helping produce numerous America East Conference record holders and NCAA qualifiers. Before UNH, Benson was an assistant coach at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point after getting her start as a graduate assistant at Kansas.
Benson was a standout swimmer at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay where she swam in freestyle and backstroke events for three seasons. She completed her eligibility at the University of Kansas and earned her Master’s degree in sociology. She still holds multiple top-10 times at UWGB and was inducted into their Hall of Fame in 2002. Benson actively swims masters, holding several New England records and placing as an All-American.
