Five Wildcats Named to EISA All-East Teams

Four skiers were named to their discipline’s respective first team, while Natalie Nicholas took home a second team nod.
DURHAM, N.H. — University of New Hampshire women's alpine skiers Benedetta Caloro (Rome, Italy) and Hedda Martelleur (Uppsala, Sweden) were each named to the Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Association's (EISA) women's Alpine First Team All-East, while Jayden Buckrell (Collingwood, Ontario) was named to the men's Alpine First Team All-East, and Hattie Barker (Underhill, Vt.) was named to the women's Nordic First Team All-East. Additionally, Natalie Nicholas (Bozeman, Mont.) was named to the women's Nordic Second Team All-East.
Across all six carnivals this season, Caloro finished with nine top-ten finishes, including six top-five finishes, and three podium finishes. Overall, Caloro finished fifth in the EISA NCAA women's alpine rankings, netting 110 points in the giant slalom and another 120 points in the slalom, totaling 230 points on the season.
Martelleur closed out the carnival season with eight top-ten finishes, including four top-five performances and two podiums–her second-career third place finish in the women's giant slalom at the Williams Carnival (Feb. 13) before earning her first-ever second place finish in the women's slalom the following day. Overall, Martelleur finished fourth in the EISA NCAA women's alpine rankings, earning 100 points in the giant slalom and 130 points in the slalom for a 230-point finish, good for her second-career EISA First Team All-East nod.
Buckrell followed up his championship-winning 2025 season with 10 top-ten finishes, including seven top-five finishes, five podium appearances, and two first-place finishes–skiing a carnival-leading 1:27.11 in the slalom at the Colby Carnival (Jan. 16) and capturing the giant slalom in 2:09.65 the following day. Overall, Buckrell led the Wildcats in the EISA NCAA men's alpine rankings, totaling 340 points with 160 points from the giant slalom and 180 points from the slalom, good for second-most across the conference this season. With his inclusion on the 2026 First Team All-East, Buckrell earns his second-career first team nod.
Barker finished her carnival season with seven top-ten finishes, including six top-five finishes, and two podium appearances–her second-career second place finish in the women's freestyle 10k race at the Vermont Carnival (Feb. 7) and her third-place finish in the women's freestyle 15k race at the Williams Carnival (Feb. 13). Overall, Barker finished fifth in the EISA NCAA women's Nordic rankings, earning 140 points in the freestyle and another 71 points in the classic, totaling 211 points on the season.
Nicholas wrapped up her EISA carnival season with six top-ten finishes, including three top-five performances, and one podium appearance—earning a third-place finish in the women's freestyle 10k race at the Vermont Carnival (Feb. 7) for her first-career podium. Overall, Nicholas finished sixth in the EISA NCAA women's Nordic rankings, earning 105 points in the freestyle and another 85 points in the classic, totaling 190 points.
