Yoofi Abaka-Amuah Named America East Field Athlete of the Week

Abaka-Amuah broke the New Hampshire school record in the men’s shot put with an 18.87m toss.
BOSTON — University of New Hampshire senior thrower Yoofi Abaka-Amuah (Worcester, Mass.) was named Men's Field Athlete of the Week by America East on Tuesday (Feb. 10).
Abaka-Amuah had a career day at the River Hawk Invitational on Saturday (Feb. 7), turning in a fourth-place result in the men's weight throw with a 19.59m toss, before finishing second in the men's shotput, setting a new school record with an 18.87m try.
UNH returns to action on Feb. 11 as the indoor track and field team competes in a dual meet against UMass Lowell at Paul Sweet Oval in Durham, N.H., with a 3pm start time.
