Three 'Cats Post Several PRs at UMass Multi-Event Meet

RESULTS
AMHERST, Mass. – Junior Kristen Kirk (Augusta, Maine) placed fourth in the Heptathlon out of 15 athletes with 4,094 points as the University of New Hampshire women's track and field team competed at the UMass Multi-Event Meet on April 9-10. Tesaira Williams from UMass won with 4,588 points.
Sophomore Kailey Dillon (Merrimack, N.H.) finished sixth with a personal-record of 3,910 points and senior Teagan O'Brien (Pawcatuck, Conn.) was seventh with a career-best 3,740 points.
Kirk's top three performances were in the high jump (701 points, 5' 1.75"), 100m hurdles (654 points, 16.50 seconds) and the 200m dash (651 points, 27.74). Both the 100m hurdles and 200m dash were PRs.
Dillon's top three scores were in the 200m (752 points, 26.52), 100m hurdles (728 points, 15.89) and the 800m run (669 points, 2:31.94). She had the top performance of any athlete in the 800m. Dillon set personal records for the 200m, 100m hurdles and the shot put (440 points, 28'3.75").
O'Brien's top point totals were in the 200m (637 points, 27.92), 100m hurdles (632 points, 16.70) and 800m (623 points, 2:35.72). She recorded PRs for the 200m and 100m hurdles.
The Wildcats return to action on Friday, April 11, when they travel to Providence for the Friar Invitational.
