Women’s Track & Field Posts Four Top 10 Performances at Friar Invitational

Ella Malone led ‘Cats with sixth-place finish in 800m
RESULTS
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Wildcats recorded four top 10 finishes as the University of New Hampshire women's track and field team competed at the Friar Invitational.
Junior Ella Malone (Barrington, N.H.) led UNH in the 800m run as she placed sixth out of 46 with a PR of 2:17.70. Freshman Mia Carbone (Meriden, Conn.) also posted a PR as she placed ninth (2:18.31) and graduate student Gabby DeAngelis (Bedford, N.H.) was 14th (2:19.25).
Senior Claire Ronan (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.) posted a PR in the mile at a time of 4:51.63 to place 10th out of 51 athletes.
Freshman Bailey Hall (Yardley, Pa.) recorded the top performance for UNH in her collegiate debut in the 5,000m run as she placed ninth out of 31 athletes with a time of 17:22.03. Senior Jill Walker (Simi Valley, Calif.) placed 17th with a time of 17:30.93.
The Wildcats return to action on Sunday, April 13, at the Commonwealth Invitational in Amherst, Mass.
