Three Wins Propel Wildcats to First Place After Day One of NEICAAA Championships

BOSTON, Mass. - The women's track and field team secured three event victories and claimed the top spot overall (51 points) after an impressive first day at the NEICAAA Championships.
Freshman Emma Reaves (Westminster, Md.) got things started for the Wildcats after winning the weight throw with a mark of 17.19m.
Freshman Ruth White (Orono, Maine) kept things going with a first place finish in the 5000m (16.53.63).
Senior Claire Ronan (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.), graduate student Gabby DeAngelis (Bedford, N.H.), senior Jill Walker (Simi Valley, Calif.), and sophomore Kailey Dillon (Merrimack, N.H.) tacked on another 10 points towards the Wildcats team score after winning the 4000m Distance Medley Relay with a time of 11:53.94.
