John Murphy Claims Victory in 5000m on Opening Day of NEICAAA Championships

BOSTON, Mass. – Junior John Murphy (Deerfield, N.H.) secured first place in the 5000m, helping boost the men's track and field team to a strong second-place standing (33.50 points) after day one of the NEICAAA Championships.
Murphy finished the 5000m with a time of 14.59.81 to earn 10 points towards the team's cumulative score.
Junior Joshua Lesniak (Durham, Conn.), junior Nathan Fletcher (Portsmouth, N.H.), senior Brayden Kearns (Deerfield, N.H.), and graduate student Aidan Shea (Amherst, N.H.) clinched first place in the 4000m Distance Medley Relay, clocking in at 10:46.65 to add to the Wildcats' success.
