Claire Ronan Wins 1000m in Final Day of America East Championships

Sarah Moore Named America East Most Outstanding Female Rookie
BOSTON, Mass. - Senior Claire Ronan placed first in the 1000m as the University of New Hampshire women's track and field team competed in the final day of the America East Championships at the Track and Tennis Center.
Ronan earned 10 points toward the Wildcats' fifth-place overall finish (74 points). She finished the 1000m at 2:54.65 and earned herself a spot on the All-Conference Team. (The top three placers in each event aside from the relays earned a spot on the team).
Freshman Sarah Moore (Libson, Maine) capped off her impressive weekend by earning the Most Outstanding Female Rookie of the Year award. Moore began her justification for this award on day one of the championships where she broke her own school record and placed second in the long jump with a mark of 5.85m.

The Wildcats return to action on Friday, March 7 for the New England Championships.
