Wildcats Stand in Third After Opening Day of America East Championships

Sarah Moore Breaks School Record In Long Jump
BOSTON, Mass. – The women's track and field team currently stands in third place (41.5 points) after day one of the America East Championships at the Track and Tennis Center.
The 'Cats day was highlighted by freshman Sarah Moore (Lisbon, Maine), junior Makena Lee (Northwood, N.H.), and freshman Ruth White (Orono, Maine) who all recorded All-Conference team honors (a top three finish earns All-Conference Team).
Moore broke her own school record and finished second in the long jump with a mark of 5.85m earning eight points for the 'Cats. She previously set the record of 5.82m in December of 2024. Moore also qualified for the 60m dash finals with a seventh-place finish in the prelims (7.72).
Lee also had a second-place finish earning eight points for UNH with a 3.70m mark in the pole vault.
White finished third in the 5000m with a time of 16:38.27. This earned six points for the 'Cats.

UNH returns to action for the second and final day of the America East Championships on Sunday, Feb. 23, 2025, at the Track and Tennis Center in Boston, Mass.
