BC goalie Grace Campbell made 25 saves, including two in the extra session, and she did not allow a goal in the best-of-3 shootout. Kate Ham scored what proved to be the game-tying goal in the third period and Gaby Roy was the only skater to convert in the shootout.
UNH ends the regular season at 15-16-3 overall and 11-14-2 in Hockey East while BC is now 20-12-2, 16-9-2.

FIRST PERIOD
- UNH recorded a 14-11 shot advantage in the opening 20 minutes.
- Rauch gave the Wildcats a 1-0 lead at 16:41 when skated onto the loose puck on the end boards, threw it to the front of the net and it caromed off Campbell into the net.
- The scoring sequence began when captain Kira Juodikis (LaSalle, Ontario) kept the puck in the zone at the left point and directed it to the slot. Lucie Legro (Brentwood, N.H.) slipped a pass in front to Hannah Rodgers (Apex, N.C.), who was denied by Campbell on the initial shot and rebound but Rauch followed up with the goal.
- UNH nearly doubled the lead in a 2-on-1 rush with 20 seconds on the clock. Sara Boucher (Burlington, Ontario) carried the puck into the right circle and fed a pass to Julia Cabral (Lee, N.H.) cutting down the slot. Cabral sent a return pass to the right wing and Boucher's one-timer was stopped by Campbell.
SECOND PERIOD
- BC recorded a 15-3 shot advantage in the scoreless second period.
- With 8:20 on the clock, a stretch pass by Sadie Makokis (St. Albert, Alberta) and touch by Brooke Hammer (Commerce Township, Mich.) sent Shea Verrier (Reading, Mass.) into the offensive zone. Verrier split a pair of BC skaters in the right circle to advance to the low slot, where she backhanded a shot over the crossbar.
- With 3:40 on the clock, BC generated a 3-on-2 rush that set up Lauren Glaser in the slot, but Martinez pokechecked the puck away when Glaser attempted to pull the puck around her to deny the scoring opportunity.
THIRD PERIOD
- BC had a 23-7 shot advantage in the final frame and finally put a shot past Martinez when Ham scored at 6:55 to level the score, 1-1.
- With the Eagles on the power play midway through the third period, Martinez blocked Glaser's shot from the slot high over the net to the end boards. The puck made its way back to the slot, and a scurrying Martinez extended her right leg back toward the right post to kick aside another shot by Glaser and keep the score tied.
OVERTIME
- Boston College outshot the 'Cats 4-2 in the five-minute extra session.
- With 1:30 remaining, Abby Newhook's one-timer off a centering pass in the slot was deflected aside by Martinez.
SHOOTOUT
- BC took a 1-0 lead in the top of Round 2 of the shootout when Gaby Roy slipped a shot into the net.
- The Wildcats did not match that goal in the bottom of the second round.
- Martinez stopped Keri Clougherty in Round 3, but Campbell denied UNH in the bottom half to end the shootout and game.
