UNH Sits Third Following Day One of America East Championships

BOSTON, Mass. – The men's track and field team currently sits in third place (32 points) after day one of the America East Championships at the Track and Tennis Center.

Junior Kyran Maher (Andover, Mass.) and the 4000m Distance Medley Relay squad stood out for the 'Cats today, each earning a second-place finish.

Maher's second-place finish in the pole vault (4.43) earned him All-Conference team honors and eight points for the Wildcats.

The 4000m Distance Medley Relay team's second-place finish was made up of junior John Murphy (Deerfield, N.H.), junior Nathan Fletcher (Portsmouth, N.H.), senior Kevin Finn (Kennebunk, Maine), graduate student Aidan Shea (Amherst, Mass.).

Sophomore Avery Cipcic (Suffield, Conn.) currently sits in seventh place (1927 points) and sophomore Cameron Jacobs (Naugatuck, Conn.) is currently in eighth place (1805 points) after day one of the Heptathlon.

UNH returns to action for the second and final day of the America East Championships on Sunday, Feb. 23, 2025, at the Track and Tennis Center in Boston, Mass.
