Hart Earns America East Rookie of the Week

DURHAM, N.H. – Freshman Lydia Hart (Cornwall, ON, Canada) of the University of New Hampshire swimming & diving was named the America East Female Rookie of the Week on Tuesday.
This is Hart's fifth swimming & diving award of the season, having previously earned America East Rookie of the Week three times and Swimmer of the Week once.
Hart continued her outstanding freshman campaign, contributing three victories in the 150-150 tie against UConn to help the Wildcats remain unbeaten at 6-0-1.
She won the 1,000 freestyle in 10:15.63 and immediately followed with a win in the 200 freestyle (1:53.31). Hart capped her day with a first-place finish in the 500 freestyle (4:58.73), where she remains undefeated this season.
UNH concludes the regular season on Friday, Jan. 24, with a home meet against conference-rival Maine. Competition begins at 5 p.m. at Swasey Pool.
