Four Members of Swim & Dive Named to Academic All-District Team

Komoto, Mahoney, McKinney and Pradissitto earn the honor.
GREENWOOD, Ind. – University of New Hampshire senior captain Abby McKinney (Westfield, N.J.), junior Megumi Komoto (Schaumburg, Ill.), junior captain Chiara Maria Pradissitto (Milan, Italy) and sophomore Audrey Mahoney (Downers Grove, Ill.) have been named to the 2023-24 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Women's Swimming & Diving Team.
McKinney earns this accolade for the second straight season, while Komoto, Pradissitto and Mahoney are first time honorees.
McKinney has a 3.78 cumulative GPA in pursuit of a dietetics degree. She is a two-time member of the America East All-Academic Team, three-time America East Commissioner's Honor Roll recipient and is a member of the National College Athlete Honor Society. She received the 2024 Dave Alexander Coaches' Award for recording the most career points at the America East championship meet the past four years. McKinney was part of UNH's record-setting 400 freestyle relay team that won gold at this year's conference championship. She also won silver with both the 200 free and 800 free relays and earned bronze as an individual in both the 100 free and 200 free.
Komoto has maintained a perfect 4.0 cumulative GPA with a double major in Business Administration and Spanish. She received the conference's Elite 18 Award for having the highest GPA of any student-athlete competing at the America East championships. Komoto was selected to the 2024 America East All-Academic Team and is a two-time member of the America East Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll (2022 and 2023). At the conference meet, Komoto placed seventh in the 200 IM, 10th in the 200 fly and 11th in the 100 fly.
Pradissitto is pursuing a marine, estuarine and freshwater biology degree with a 3.82 cumulative GPA. She was named to the 2024 America East All-Academic Team and is a two-time member of the America East Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll (2022 and 2023). She won a silver medal in the 100 fly at the America East championships and was part of four medal-winning UNH relays, including the record-setting 400 free. Pradissitto also swam a leg in the 200 medley relay, 200 free relay and 400 medley relay teams, all of which earned silver.
Mahoney is a health management & policy major with a 3.97 cumulative GPA. She earned 2024 America East All-Academic Team accolades and was on the 2023 America East Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll. Mahoney was the 100 free champion at the 2024 America East championships and was also part of UNH's winning and record-setting 400 free relay team. Mahoney also won silver in the 50 free as well as both the 200 free relay and 200 medley relay.
The UNH swimming and diving team had a 6-1 record that included 2-0 in America East and finished as runner-up at the 2024 America East Championships.
