400 free relay team sets a new conference and school record.
ALEXANDRIA, Va. – Sophomore Ella Guilfoil (Fairport, N.Y.) won the 400 IM, sophomore Audrey Mahoney (Downers Grove, Ill.) captured the 100 free and the 400 free relay team won gold with a new conference and school record as the University of New Hampshire swimming and diving team finished in second place at the America East Championships at the VMI Aquatic Center.
Guilfoil, who won three individual gold medals and one relay, was named the Swimmer of the Meet.
Senior captain Abby McKinney (Westfield, N.J.) won the Dave Alexander Coaches' Award for posting the most points at the America East Championships over her career.
Junior Megumi Komoto (Schaumburg) earned the Elite 18 Award for having the highest GPA of any athlete competing at the America East Championships.

1650 Free
Senior Hannah Devine (Hamilton, N.J.) placed fifth in the 1650 free with a career-best time of 17:03.96. Her previous best was 17:03.07 at the 2023 America East Championships.
200 Back
Guilfoil won her third gold medal of the America East Championships when she took the 200 back with a time career-best time of 1:56.93. This was her fifth All-Conference accolade in her career.
Freshman Izzie Campion (Auckland, New Zealand) won bronze with her career best time of 2:01.14 garnering her first All-Conference recognition.
100 Free
The Wildcats qualified three athletes for the final of the 100 free as Mahoney won her second career individual gold when she placed first with a career-best time of 50:02. She posted her eighth career All-Conference honor.
McKinney placed third earning her 10th career All-Conference accolade with a time of 50.96.
Junior captain Chiara Maria Pradissitto (Milan, Italy) was seventh with a career-best time of 51.49.
200 Fly
Three Wildcats finished in the top 8 in the 200 fly. Freshman Grace Mahon (Orange, Conn.) won the silver medal with a personal record of 2:03.02 securing her first All-Conference honor.
Junior Grace Sala (Sun Prairie, Wis.) placed fifth with a career-best time of 2:05.49, while freshman Kylie Boyle (Ashburn, Va.) was eighth (2:06.14).
400 Free Relay
The 400 free relay team of Mahoney, McKinney, Pradissitto and Guilfoil concluded the championships by setting a new conference and new school record to take gold with a time of 3:21.97. The previous record was set by UNH in 2015.
