GREENWOOD, Ind. – Luci Anderson (Golden Valley, Minn.), Jasmine Lyons (Ottawa, Ontario), Lisa Olsson (Stockholm, Sweden) and Lea Stabaek Wenaas (Oslo, Norway) of the University of New Hampshire skiing team were named to the 2022-23 Academic All-District Women's At-Large Team on Tuesday.
Lyons and Olsson are repeat honorees from the 2021-22 season, and Olsson was also voted to the 2021-22 Academic All-America Women's At-Large Third Team.
All four Wildcats advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First, second and third team Academic All-America honorees will be announced June 22.
Anderson, a senior with a 3.55 cumulative GPA as a bioengineering major, was the UNH women's Nordic co-captain in 2023. She has been named to the National All-Academic Ski Team all four years and is a two-time inductee into Chi Alpha Sigma, National College Athlete Honor Society.
Anderson was the EISA women's Nordic freestyle points titlist and the No. 3-ranked women's Nordic overall skier in the EISA to earn All-East First Team recognition; she was ranked eighth in the classic discipline.
Anderson won three races as part of seven top-10 finishes during the EISA carnival season. She skied to first place in the 5k free at the EISA Championships, UNH Carnival and Williams Carnival. Anderson also recorded a pair of top-5 efforts in classic races with third place in the 10k at Williams and fourth placed in the 15k at St. Michael's Carnival.
As a result of her outstanding EISA season, Anderson qualified for the NCAA Skiing Championships. She placed 15th in the 5k free and 24th in the 20k classic.
Anderson was named UNH's 2022-23 America East Woman of the Year nominee on Monday.
Lyons, a junior with a 3.97 cumulative GPA as a biomedical science: med/micro major, has been named to the National All-Academic Ski Team all three years and was a 2023 inductee into Chi Alpha Sigma, National College Athlete Honor Society.
Lyons was a two-time All-American at the NCAA Skiing Championships for the second consecutive year in 2023. She finished second in the 5k free to earn All-America First Team and then placed sixth in the 20k classic to be on the All-America Second Team.
Lyons earned a spot on the EISA All-East Second Team despite missing half the carnival season because of international competitions. She was champion of the 7.5k free at the Bates Carnival and skied to second placed in the 10k classic at the Williams Carnival.
Those results helped Lyons become the No. 9 ranked women's Nordic overall skier in the EISA, as well as No. 6 in the free and 11th in classic.
Olsson, who recorded a perfect 4.0 as an undergrad (with a dual major in business administration: information systems & business analytics and business administration: finance) and has a 3.96 GPA while pursuing an MBA, was a tri-captain of the UNH women's alpine team.
Olsson is a two-time NCAA Elite 90 recipient – 2021 and 2023; that honor is bestowed the student-athlete with the highest cumulative GPA at the NCAA Skiing Championships. She has been named to the National All-Academic Ski Team all five years and is a two-time inductee into Chi Alpha Sigma, National College Athlete Honor Society.
In women's alpine, Olsson was the No. 14-ranked NCAA overall qualifier from the EISA. She ranked ninth in women's giant slalom as well as 19th in the alpine best two overall.
Olsson raced to second place in the giant slalom at the Harvard Carnival and 14th in the giant slalom at both the Bates Carnival and EISA Championships. She went on to place 23rd at the NCAAs in the giant slalom and 28th in the slalom.
Stabaek Wenaas, a junior with a 3.91 GPA in pursuit of a business administration: finance degree, has been named to the National All-Academic Ski Team all three years and was a 2023 inductee into Chi Alpha Sigma, National College Athlete Honor Society.

Stabaek Wenaas recorded 10 top-10 finishes during the EISA season and that included a best of fourth place both in the 1.3k free at St. Michael's as well as in the 5k free at Williams. She also had a fifth-place effort in the 5k free at UNH and three sixth-place finishes.
Stabaek Wenaas skied to eighth place in both the free and classic races at the EISA Championships. She went on to compete at the NCAAs, where she placed 16th in the 20k classic and 29th in the 5k free.
