Berry, Juodikis and Kettyle Named Captains for 2023-24 Season

DURHAM N.H. - University of New Hampshire women's hockey head coach Hilary Witt has announced Annie Berry (Milton, Mass.), Charli Kettyle (Perth, Ontario), and Kira Juodikis (LaSalle, Ontario) as team captains for the 2023-24 season. All three will wear C's on their sweater.
Berry and Kettyle also served as captains in the 2022-23 season.
As a senior forward in the 2022-23 season, Berry skated in 34 of 36 games and recorded three goals with six assists to total nine points. Her other stats included one power-play goal and a game-winning goal. Berry won 88 of 157 faceoffs (56.1%) with a high of 12 faceoff wins in the season opener vs. Union. She matched a career-high two points against Merrimack College on Nov. 12 with a goal and an assist.
Berry received the Hockey East Sportsmanship Award for the 2022-23 season and was also named recipient of UNH's Blue Line Club Award, which is given to a player who embodies what it means to be a Wildcat by exhibiting a positive culture in the locker room, on the ice, in youth clinics and in the community.

As a junior defenseman, Kettyle skated in all 36 games of the 2022-23 season. She recorded four assists for four points and ranked third on the team in blocked shots with 51. Kettyle also ranked second on the team in plus/minus at +4.
Kettyle tallied a block in 19 games with a career high of six blocks in the Hockey East quarterfinal game at the University of Vermont on Feb. 25; one week earlier, she was credited with five blocks in a game vs. UVM. Also of note, Kettyle had one four-block effort and finished with three blocks eight times.

As a sophomore forward, Juodikis played all 36 games of the 2022-23 season. She led the team in scoring with 17 goals and ranked third in assists with 11, as well as second in points with 28. Juodikis also led the team in shots (110) and shooting percentage (.155), and she tied for the lead in game-winning goals (three).
On the Hockey East leaderboard, Juodikis ranked ninth in goals and 12th in points. In league-only games, she was No. 8 in goals (14) and No. 11 in points (22).
Juodikis was a Hockey East Third Team All-Star and two-time Hockey East Player of The Week (Nov. 17 and Feb. 6). Her UNH women's hockey team accolades included the Karyn Bye co-MVP and Sue Merz 7th Player Award.
