McGrath and DMR Team Secure Titles at IC4A Championships

BOSTON, MASS. - Graduate student Kevin McGrath (Hopkinton, N.H.) added another high jump title at the 101st IC4A Indoor Championships at the BU Track & Tennis Center as the University of New Hampshire men's track and field team concluded the 2022-23 indoor season.

As a team, the Wildcats tallied 24 points to earn a 12th-place finish.

FIELD EVENTS

McGrath won the high jump Saturday afternoon, reaching a height of 2.09m. McGrath concludes the indoor season by winning two high jump titles in a row at the America East championships and now the IC4A championships.

TRACK EVENTS

In the distance medley relay, sophomore Aidan Shea (Amherst, Mass.), freshman Samuel Hilts (Concord, N.H.), junior Adrian Sutton (Rochester, N.H.), and senior Aidan O'Hern (Concord, N.H.) combined to set a new season-best time of 9:50.49 and become IC4A champions.

Senior William Curran (Old Saybrook, Conn, senior Kenney McElroy (West Linn. Ore.), senior Dillon Adamy (Lebanon, N.J.), and junior Zack Plaza (Auburn, N.H.) competed together in the 4x800m relay race and came in fifth place with a time of 7:36.74.

The Wildcats will return to action when they begin the 2023 outdoor season at the Raleigh Relays from March 23-25.
