Four Wildcats Earn All-East Honors

Anderson and Schulz named to first team; Lyons and Wenaas make second team.
DURHAM, N.H. – University of New Hampshire Nordic skiers senior Luci Anderson (Golden Valley, Minn.), senior Scott Schulz (Lake Placid, N.Y.), junior Jasmine Lyons (Ottawa, Ontario) and junior Lea Stabaek Wenaas (Oslo, Norway) have earned EISA All-East honors. Anderson and Schulz were named to the first team, while Lyons and Wenaas made the second team.
Anderson has had a tremendous season as she ranked No. 3 in the EISA overall with 310 points ranking first in freestyle with 200 points. She won an impressive three times during the season taking first in the 5K skate at the NCAA East Regional/EISA Championships, Williams Carnival and UNH Carnival. Anderson was also third in the 10K classic at the Williams Carnival. She was named the EISA Skier of the Week on Feb. 21. Â
Schulz ranked fifth in the EISA with 265 points. He posted two second-place finishes during the season one in the 5K skate at the UNH Carnival and another one in the 10K classic at the Williams Carnival. Schulz also placed third in the 10K skate at the Bates Carnival.
Lyons ranked ninth overall with 180 points as she only competed in three Carnivals due to international competition. She was the Champion in the 7.5K skate to open the season at the Bates Carnival, while she was second in the 10K classic at the Williams Carnival.
Wenaas was 10th overall with 176 points. She recorded 10 top-10 finishes during the season which included fourth place in the 1.3K skate at the St. Michael's Carnival and fourth in the 5K skate at the Williams Carnival. Wenaas was also fifth in the 5K skate at UNH Carnival.
