Career Highs for Williams and Kane Lead Wildcats to Victory Over Bryant, 66-47

Durham, N.H. – Freshman guard Breezie Williams (Canton, OH.) and senior center Brooke Kane (Derry, N.H.) both scored career high points, leading the University of New Hampshire women's basketball team to a 66-47 victory over Bryant Saturday afternoon in Durham.
Kane captured her third straight, season fourth double-double for the 'Cats scoring 24 points and collecting 10 rebounds. Williams scored 19 points in the contest.
The Wildcats' record improves to 7-15 (2-8 AE) and Bryant's falls to 7-17 (1-10 AE).

· Williams scored first, leading to the Cats' gaining and maintaining their lead against the Bulldogs.
· The Wildcats held the Bulldogs from scoring three minutes into the game.
· UNH led in rebounds with 13, with freshman guard Avery O'Connor (Dedham, Mass.) claiming four of them.
· The 'Cats went on a late 8-0 run in the final minutes of the quarter to take a 10-point lead.
SECOND QUARTER:
· Williams scored six points on three consecutive possessions giving the Cats' a 13-point lead over Bryant.
· O'Connor collected two rebounds in the quarter, contributing to her seven throughout the game.
THIRD QUARTER:
· Williams started the quarter with a three-pointer within the first two minutes, strengthening the Cats' lead.
· Ending the quarter, junior center Paige Cote (Sanford, Maine) kept the lead with two free throws.
FOURTH QUARTER:
· Within the first minute, Kane scored a three-pointer to lengthen the lead by 11 and also passing her career high points.
· In the quarter, the Cats' outscored the Bulldogs with 25-16 points.
· William's jumper in the final seconds secured the Wildcat win and her career high.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
· The Wildcats shooting percent sat at 42.4%, being the highest since the first game against Colby-Sawyer.
· Kane scored a career high 24 points.
