53 Wildcats Named to CAA Commissioner's Honor Roll
RICHMOND, Va. – Sophomore quarterback Max Brosmer (Roswell, Ga.) of the No. 13/15 University of New Hampshire football team was named one of the two 2022 CAA Football Scholar-Athletes of the Year on Friday. He shares the honor with Justin Szuba of Monmouth University.
Brosmer headlines a total of 53 Wildcats named to the 2022 CAA Football Commissioner's Honor Roll, which was also announced Friday; UNH had the fourth highest number of representatives on the Honor Roll in the 13-team conference. Brosmer has received this honor all four years. All-Americans Dylan Laube (Westhampton, N.Y.) and Josiah Silver (Hampton, Va.) were also named to the Honor Roll.
Brosmer compiled a 3.88 cumulative grade-point average while earning a degree in Biomedical Science: Medical and Veterinary Sciences this past December. He is currently pursuing a graduate degree in kinesiology.
His other academic accolades include Football Championship Subdivision Athletics Directors Association 2022 Academic All-Star Team, 2022 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team and, last spring, induction into the Chi Alpha Sigma National College Athlete Honor Society.
Brosmer is the third UNH student-athlete honored as CAA Football Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Cam Shorey (2016) and Kyle Reisert (2017) received the award in consecutive years.
New Hampshire's 2023 schedule was announced in January. Season Ticket Memberships, including the Service Credit Union Victory Club, for the 2023 season are on sale now and can be purchased online by CLICKING HERE.
Plans start as low as $99 and include special benefits such as invites to exclusive events, complimentary tickets to UNH sporting events, first right to special events such as playoffs, and presale opportunities to Homecoming. Group and Hospitality tickets are also on sale. For questions regarding tickets, please email unh.tickets@unh.edu.
After missing the entire 2021 season due to injury, Brosmer bounced back to put together a very impressive season in which he ranked No. 9 in the nation in both passing yards (3,157) and passing touchdowns (27). The 3,157 passing yards ranks No. 5 on UNH's list of single-season superlatives.
Brosmer ended the season with a touchdown pass in 12 consecutive games, including multiple TDs each of the last six with three at Richmond, Maine and vs. Fordham in the first round of the NCAA playoffs. He threw multiple touchdowns a total of nine times with a high of four vs. N.C. Central in Game 3.
Brosmer finished with a season-high 194.1 QB rating at the University of Maine by completing 14 of 23 passes (60.9%) for 247 yards and three TDs, including a four-yarder in overtime that gave the Wildcats a 42-35 lead.
Brosmer was named CAA Football co-Offensive Player of the Week following the Wildcats' thrilling win over Rhode Island. In that game, he completed 31 of 43 passes for 316 yards and two TDs. His second passing touchdown produced the game-winning score as he connected on a 26-yard pass with wide receiver DJ Linkins in the back-left corner of the endzone. This occurred on a critical 4th-and-9 with just 17 seconds remaining in the game.
In the 2022 season, New Hampshire won a share of the CAA title with a 7-1 conference record and advanced to the NCAA second round to highlight a highly-successful season that ended with a 9-4 overall record.
