DURHAM, N.H. -- The University of New Hampshire men's basketball program and head coach Bill Herrion has announced the addition of Ridvan Tutić (Novi Pazar, Serbia) on Monday afternoon.
Tutić (6'10", 230 lbs) last played for Stari Ras, where he competed in the senior competition of domestic championship, leading his team in points (22.5), rebounds (12.0) and blocks (3.5) per game. In 2020 and 2019, he became junior champion of Bosnia and Herzegovina with the OKK Spars where he averaged 13.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.5 block per contest. Tutić also made a debut in the second Adriatic Basketball league where he scored two points and had two rebounds in four minutes against Helios Suns.
"With this years recruiting class and the last scholarship that we had available, it was really important that we had to bring in another front court player," said Herrion. "We're really excited to have Ridvan join our program here at UNH, he gives us size, length, and it helps our depth in the front court. We think he has a great opportunity to come here to UNH and have a great career. "
Tutić completes UNH's 10-player class for the upcoming season, which includes four freshmen and six transfer student-athletes.
