UNH Posts Several Conference Top Times at Bruno Invitational

Wildcats to take on Northeastern at Swasey Pool on Dec. 10.
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The University of New Hampshire swimming and diving team competed at the Bruno Invitational at the Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center on Dec. 2-4, versus Brown and New York University.
The Wildcats recorded numerous conference top times during the three-day Invitational which featured prelims and finals.
"I am very happy with the results overall and we are right where we want to be leading into winter break as we prepare for Puerto Rico and our training trip," said head coach Josh Willman.

- The Wildcats return to action on Saturday, Dec. 10 when they take on Northeastern at noon at Swasey Pool in Durham, N.H. The Wildcats will then travel to San Juan, Puerto Rico on Jan. 3-11 for the team's Winter Training Trip.

INVITATIONAL HIGHLIGHTS:

- Graduate student Shelby Kasse (Hoofddorp, Netherlands) recorded strong performances as she placed third in the 100 backstroke (56.00), third in the 200 backstroke (1:59.79) and fourth in the 200 IM (2:04.06). Her 55.69 as the leadoff in the 400 medley relay is the top time in the America East this season in the 100 backstroke. Kasse's 1:58.46 in the prelims of the 200 backstroke is the fastest time in the conference, while her 2:04.06 in the 200 IM is the third best in the league.
- Senior captain Jamy Lum (Honolulu, Hawaii) was also outstanding. She was third in the 200 breaststroke (2:17.40), fourth in the 100 breaststroke (1:04.28) and sixth in the 500 freestyle (4:57.76). Her 200 breaststroke time is second in the conference, while her 1:03.68 in the prelims of the 100 breaststroke is the top time in the America East.
- Freshman Audrey Mahoney (Downers Grove, Ill.) placed sixth in the 50 free (23.91) and her time of 23.51 in the prelims is the top time in the conference this season.
- Senior Olivia Stille (Stockholm, Sweden) was sixth in the 100 freestyle with a conference best time of 51.38.
- Junior Abby McKinney (Westfield, N.J.) recorded another top conference time for the Wildcats at 55.73 in the prelims of the 100 butterfly. Her time was also a career best. She placed fifth in the finals with a time of 56.03.
- Senior captain Madison Linstedt (Marion, Ohio) posted a conference leading time of 4:24.94 for third place in the 400 IM.
- Senior captain Paige Edmier (Bartlett, Ill.) competed in the 1650 freestyle and had the top time for the Wildcats at 17:21.28 for sixth.
- Freshman Ella Guilfoil (Fairport, N.Y.) placed fourth in the 400 IM (4:25.78) and also fourth in the 200 backstroke (2:00.80). Her time in the 400 IM is the third best in the conference and her time in the 200 backstroke is fourth.
- Sophomore Ana O'Neil (St. Paul, Minn.) set career best scores for both diving events with a 239.25 in the prelims of the three-meter event and 214.50 in the finals of the one-meter.
