Harnett Records 22 Saves in 2-0 Loss to Boston U.

DURHAM, N.H. - The University of New Hampshire women's hockey team fell to Boston University in a 2-0 shutout Friday night at the Whittemore Center.
Senior Nicky Harnett (Plymouth, Minn.) made 22 saves and allowed two goals before exiting the game at 18:01 of the third period in favor of an extra skater.
Andrea Brändli made 26 saves to record the shutout while both Tamara Giaquinto and Christina Vote scored a goal.
UNH is now 1-5-0 overall and 0-3-0 in Hockey East. Boston University is now 2-1-0 overall and 1-0-0 in Hockey East.

FIRST PERIOD
- BU picked up the first goal of the game at 9:40 by Giaquinto, who was assisted by Roberts and DeVito.
- The shots were even 9-9 in the first period.
SECOND PERIOD
- UNH generated its best shot opportunity at the end of a Boston power play when Jada Christian (Caledon East, Ontario) took a shot from the circle at 4:23 and soon after Kira Juodikis (LaSalle, Ontario) had a low hard shot blocked by Shaunessey at 4:31.
- The Wildcats had another prime scoring opportunity when Emily Pinto (Mulmer, Ontario) broke away and passed to Brianna Brooks (Whitby, Ontario), back to Pinto, ending with Christian taking a shot at the left doorstep that was saved by Brändli at 10:48. Brändli also denied Brooks off the rebound.
- In the scoreless period, UNH had an 11-4 edge in the faceoff circle.
THIRD PERIOD
- BU built a 2-0 lead when Vote fired a shot into the top left corner of the net assisted by Clara Yuhn and DeVito at 10:30.
- Both teams had a power play attempt.

- New Hampshire ended with a 26-24 shot advantage.
- UNH had a 23-18 edge in the faceoff circle.
