- Sophomore Chavonne Truter (Uxbridge, Ontario) set up an excellent New Hampshire scoring bid at 6:17 when her pass split a pair of defenders to find Emily Rickwood (Brantford, Ontario) in the slot, but the senior defenseman's low shot was steered aside by McPherson.
- Two minutes later, freshman Shea Verrier (Reading, Mass.) blasted a one-time from the slot that was knocked down by McPherson toward the left circle, where Myers chipped the puck back toward the far post but it trickled wide.
- The teams combined to score three goals in 3 minutes, 16 seconds to push the score to 4-2; UVM netted power-play goals 1:47 apart just 89 seconds after the Wildcats pulled even.
- Truax tied the score, 2-2, at 11:01. Freshman Kira Juodikis (LaSalle, Ontario) moved the puck back to the left point, where Bent sent a pass across the high slot. Truax corralled the pass and dangled around a defender to the outside before shooting low into the cage with Brooks setting a screen in front.
