FIRST PERIOD
- UConn built a 2-0 lead with a 14-9 shot advantage in the opening 20 minutes.
- The Huskies went on the first power play of the game at 5:47 but Harnett stopped the only shot she faced on the penalty kill before it ended at 6:42, when the home team was whistled for interference.
- UNH then had nearly three minutes on an extended power play – UConn was called for tripping at 8:39 – but recorded only one shot on goal.
- The Huskies went on another power play at 14:07 and Snodgrass scored immediately before UNH returned to full strength for a power-play goal at 16:07. She skated off the end boards toward the right post and beat Harnett short-side to give the home team a 1-0 lead.
- With 80 seconds to play, senior captain Maddie Truax (Gardner, Mass.) moved the puck along the end boards to fellow senior captain Lauren Martin (Cambridge, Ontario). Martin's sharp-angle shot from the right side was stopped by Warrner, who then denied the rebound attempt off the stick of junior Jada Christian (Caledon East, Ontario).
- In the closing seconds, Amy Landry advanced through the neutral zone along the right dashers. At the circle, she hesitated to cut back behind a UNH defender, advanced toward the cage and lifted a close-range shot into the upper-right corner to extend the advantage to 2-0 with three seconds remaining.
SECOND PERIOD

- Harnett kept the 'Cats within two goals in the second minute, when she denied Landry and then Danika Pasqua and Coryn Tormala in front in a span of three seconds.

- With 8:15 on the clock, freshman Kira Juodikis (LaSalle, Ontario) hit an outlet pass to sophomore Nicole Kelly (Brantford, Ontario) on the right wing. Kelly slipped a pass ahead to classmate Brianna Brooks (Whitby, Ontario) cutting down the slot, and Brooks' backhander from the low slot was stopped by Warrener.
- The Huskies went on their third power play at 18:31, but UNH's penalty kill did not allow a shot on goal.
THIRD PERIOD

- On a Wildcats' power play, Kelly was denied by Warrener and then Martin's screened shot from the right circle was also turned aside by Warrener at 9:10.
