Annual Gerry Friel Memorial Golf Tournament Postponed

DURHAM, N.H. -- The University of New Hampshire men's basketball program and head coach Bill Herrion have announced the postponement of the annual Gerry Friel Memorial Golf Tournament due to scheduling conflicts.
The golf outing, which is traditionally held in September, raises funds to support the Wildcat men's basketball program each year to enhance the student-athlete experience.
"We are planning to have a pre-season tip off event coming up in October with details to be announced in the coming weeks," said Herrion. "We will tentatively plan to move the golf tournament to the spring of 2022."
Safety considerations surrounding the uncertainty of the COVID delta variant also went into making the decision.
