AT THE AMERICA EAST MEET
- New Hampshire has finished in the Top 5 each of the past five years. The Wildcats placed third in the most recent meet in 2019 and was also third in '17.
THE THROWERS
- Grad student Zachary Astle (Newbury N.H.) has been dominant this season with seven first place finishes in four outdoor meets. And he is the reigning conference champion in the shot put – he won the title in 2019.
- Astle won the shot put at every 2021 outdoor meet and won the hammer in 3 of 4; he was runner-up the lone time he did not place first.
- Astle recorded a career-best throw of 194 feet, 8 inches to win the hammer at last week's UNH six-team invitational.
- Freshman Joshua Hoffman (Litchfield, N.H.) has won the discus at all four outdoor meets this season. His top mark of 161-2 was established at the Cushing Field Complex.
- Junior John King Jr. (Derry, N.H.) has three first-place finishes in the javelin, including each of the past two weeks, and has a season-best mark of 200-6.
- Junior Patrick Brogioli (Milford, Mass.) has been consistent in the hammer and discus with seven top-6 performances, and that includes a pair of third-place finishes in the hammer.
NOT SHORT BUT NOT LONG
- New Hampshire has a strong corps of middle distance runners.
- Senior James Wilkes (Concord, N.H.) has raced in the 800-meters three times this season and placed first all three times with a personal-best time of 1 minute, 50.19 seconds last week.
- Grad student Matthew Adams (Concord, N.H.) has been consistent in the 800m this season with one fourth-place finish and a pair of fifth-place efforts.
- Sophomore Aidan O'Hern (Concord, N.H.) has four top-5 finishes in the 1,500m this season. He ran a PR of 3:56.15 last week to finish in third place, and he placed second one week earlier at UMass Lowell.
LEAPING PAST THE WATER PIT
- Grad student Nicolas Sevilla-Connelly (Chester, N.H.) has two wins in two 3,00m steeplechase races this season, and that includes a personal-best time of 8:52.72 at UMass Lowell two weeks ago. Â He has also raced in the mile and 1500m this season.
- Senior Aidan Sullivan (Nashua, N.H.) placed second to Sevilla-Connelly at UMass Lowell in a time of 9:05.60. Sullivan has also competed in the 800m and 1500m this season.
GO AHEAD AND JUMP

- Hobbs is the defending conference champion; he won the long jump at the 2019 America East outdoor championship meet.
- Senior Jordan Buckmire (Nashua, N.H.) took first place in the triple jump last week with an effort of 47-0.75. He placed second at UMass Lowell two weeks ago. And at the 2019 outdoor conference meet, Buckmire placed third.

RETURN TO CUSHING FIELD COMPLEX
- UNH competed at the site of this year's championship for the George Davis Invitational on April 17, and the Wildcats won six events.
- Astle won both the hammer and shot put. He recorded a distance of 184-6 inches to capture the hammer, and his mark of 55-5 was tops in the shot put.
