Guard will have freshman eligibility in 2021-22
DURHAM, N.H. – University of New Hampshire women's basketball first-year head coach Kelsey Hogan announced the addition of Ella Fiore (Narragansett, R.I.) to the Wildcats roster for the spring semester.
Fiore will grayshirt this semester and have freshman eligibility during the 2021-22 season.
"We are thrilled to welcome Ella to our Wildcat family," Hogan said. "She is a fierce competitor who has great size and versatility. Her basketball IQ and scoring ability make her a great fit."
Fiore is a 5-foot-11 guard who most recently played at St. Andrew's School for the last three years. She was a Rhode Island All-State selection in 2018 and 2019.
Fiore was also a member of the state championship team at La Salle Academy in her freshman year (2016-17), where she played major minutes in her rookie campaign.
"Ella's defensive tenacity and work ethic will allow her to have a bright future in Wildcat Country," Hogan added.
Fiore played club basketball at Mass Rivals with head coach Scott Hazelton. She was a member of the National Honor Society in her junior and senior season and was an honor roll selection in her sophomore, junior and senior year.
