SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- The University of New Hampshire men's basketball team was defeated by Bryant, 76-59 on Wednesday night at the Chace Athletic Center in non-conference play.
The Wildcats fall to 4-3 overall after the loss, while the Bulldogs improve to 4-6 overall on the season, snapping UNH's three-game win streak.
Senior forward Jayden Martinez (Cibolo, Texas) totaled a team-high 16 points, shooting 4-of-8 from the three-point arc. Sloan Seymour (Albany, N.Y.) chipped in with 10 points, while sophomores Nick Johnson (Bronx, N.Y.) and Blondeau Tchoukuiegno (Montreal, Quebec) each added seven points apiece in the losing effort.
Senior center Tyler Mattos (New London, N.H.) added six points and five rebounds in a solid effort for the 'Cats.
The 'Cats shot 42% in the first half, but only 36% in the second stanza. UNH won the turnover battle, 11-6 for the game against Bryant.
Bryant's Peter Kiss recorded a game-high 23 points and 10 rebounds in the victory for Bryant.
UNH returns to action on Saturday, December 11 at Duquesne. Game time from UMPC Cooper Fieldhouse is 1 p.m. on ESPN+.
